Dear customers, We have a positive update! The process of preparing Princess Isabella at the shipyard in Frederikshavn has gone better than expected. If everything goes according to plan in the coming days, we expect to be able to deploy Isabella already on Saturday morning with the first departure from Sælvig at 08:15 and from Hou at 09:30. However, for this to succeed, we depend on the final re-installations of the ferry’s visor and the final approval proceeding as planned on Thursday and Friday. If everything goes according to plan, Isabella will be able to leave the shipyard on Friday afternoon. We believe in it, but cannot yet guarantee it 100%. Automatic rebooking upon deployment of Isabella. If Isabella is deployed as planned on Saturday, everyone who has already booked tickets to Ane Læsø will automatically be rebooked to the closest departure with Isabella. Customers will receive a confirmation via email. If the new booked departure does not fit your plans, you can always change the booking via our website.
Plan B, if Isabella is not ready: Should there be delays in the final processes, we will continue sailing with Ane Læsø and are in positive dialogue with Molslinjen about the possibility of using Kyholm for an extra departure in the middle of the day on Saturday. We know that many need to plan their journey well in advance, and we are doing everything we can to ensure stable sailing. We therefore recommend that you take both scenarios into account and stay updated. Keep a close eye on our website tilsamsoe.dk, where we are continuously updating the status. We will provide a more reliable report on the situation on Thursday, February 6 at 5:00 PM. We apologize for the uncertainty and hope for your understanding in this situation. We know that many are looking forward to getting Isabella back in service, and we are doing everything we can to make it happen as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience – we look forward to welcoming you aboard Isabella again!
Kind regards Samsø Rederi
We send out traffic information if we deviate from schedule for more than 15 minutes.
We put a virtue in letting our customers know what is going on. So you can be sure that if it says that we are on schedule, we are.
As soon as we know we are going to be delayed or something else, we will let you know as soon as possible.
Broadcasting traffic information is not just about updating the information on this page. We also send text messages via our text message service. Just as we have to deal with a delay or cancellation by closing departures in our system, possibly moving customers to new departures, calling hauliers who need to move their trucks to new departures and much more.
We are therefore always very busy when we experience delays or cancellations. Therefore, we encourage you to follow along on this page and not call or write to us, as we have nothing more to say than you can read here.
Thank you for your understanding.
